News Update!
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month Emcon once again showed it's spirit and dedication to charitable organizations raising a total of $15,600.00 through innovative fundraising events held throughout October of 2011.

Emcon donated the monies to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, A Time for Me and Mary's Place By the Sea making a donation of $5,200.00 to each respectively.

Susan G. Komen Foundation

Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body and soul. Throughout her diagnosis, treatments, and endless days in the hospital, she spent her time thinking of ways to make life better for other women battling breast cancer instead of worrying about her own situation. That concern for others continued even as Susan neared the end of her fight. Moved by Susan’s compassion for others and committed to making a difference, Nancy G. Brinker promised her sister that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.

A Time For Me

A Time For Me is located in Brielle, NJ. They offer a respite for women dealing with the trauma of cancer to regroup their energies and focus on a positive tomorrow. They offer an escape for a day to an elegant spa or for several days to other tranquil resort locations. The patients get to choose spa services which might include facials, pedicures, massages, manicures, haircuts, etc. A Time For Me is staffed by volunteers, they are not salaried employees; therefore, there are minimal administrative costs which means most of the monies donated are used directly in support of the cancer patients.

Marys Place By The Sea

Mary's Place By the Sea is located in Ocean Grove, NJ. Their mission is to provide a place to rest for women with cancer during and after treatment. The home has lake and ocean views and some of the services they provide are Reiki therapy, oncological massage, spa services, meditation, yoga, nutritional counseling. Mary's Place By the Sea is staffed by volunteers, they are not salaried employees; therefore, there are minimal administrative costs which means most of the monies donated are used directly in support of the cancer patients.
